Mitsotakis meeting with Kimberly Guilfoyle right now at the Maximos Mansion

The American ambassador arrived at the Maximos Mansion at 10:00 for the scheduled meeting with the Prime Minister

Newsroom November 5 10:18

The new U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, is currently at the Maximos Mansion to meet with the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

As usual, the spotlight was stolen by the prime minister’s dog, Pinat, who greeted her at the entrance.

The energy cooperation between the two countries is at the forefront, as they now count down the minutes to the launch of the 6th Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC), organized jointly by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy, and the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center, tomorrow and the day after at Zappeion.

In fact, Ms. Guilfoyle will be at the Maximos Mansion twice today for the purposes of the event. After her meeting with the Prime Minister, she will accompany U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Doug Bergam, to the government headquarters in the afternoon.

The fact that this year’s speakers include the U.S. Secretaries of Energy and Interior, Chris Wright and Doug Bergam respectively, positions Greece at the heart of the LNG “energy corridor,” which Kimberly Guilfoyle had extensively highlighted during her Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, setting the bar high from the start for her new post.
