A search and rescue operation has been underway since early Monday morning (1/12) to locate a 62-year-old fisherman who went missing in the Lichnos sea area of Parga.

According to a relative who was fishing with him, the 62-year-old slipped from the boat, fell into the water, and vanished. He showed no signs of life for over an hour, and the Coast Guard was immediately notified.

A Coast Guard vessel and three fishing boats are currently participating in the search effort.
