Volodymyr Zelensky said today that unity between Europe, Ukraine and the United States is important when negotiating an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president made the statement during a visit to London, where he is trying to drum up support among Kiev’s allies in a U.S.-led peace effort.

For his part, British Prime Minister Kir Starmers said issues over Ukraine should be decided by Ukraine as he met with Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Murch.

After London, the Ukrainian president will travel to Brussels, where he will be received by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, before heading to Rome, where he will meet with Georgia Meloni tomorrow afternoon.
