Shocking: No prosecution of the Bob Vylan band for the anti-Israel slogans at the Glastonbury Festival

During the concert, the band's lead singer Bobby Willen rhythmically sang "death to the IDF"

Newsroom December 24 10:56

The British police announced today that surprisingly it would take no further action regarding comments made about the Israeli army by Bob Vylan from the Glastonbury Festival stage last June.

“We have concluded, after reviewing all the evidence, that he did not meet the criminal behaviour described by the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) to warrant prosecution,” Avon and Somerset police said.

During the concert, the band’s lead singer rhythmically sang “death to the IDF“, meaning the Israel Defense Forces fighting in the Gaza Strip.

In a shocking statement, the police noted that not enough evidence was found to provide a realistic prospect of a conviction, who took a statement from a man aged about 35 and contacted about 200 onlookers as part of their investigation, regardless of the fact that the singer in recorded on camera rhythmically saying “death to the IDF”!

Police have DROPPED all charges against Bob Vylan over their IDF chants at Glastonbury. @ASPolice cited a lack of evidence, even though it was literally broadcast on the BBC.

The BBC was heavily criticised for not interrupting the live broadcast of the festival…

And as if that was not bad provocative enough, in its statement, Avon and Somerset Police noted that it took into account the…intentions behind the words, the”wider context” and issues relating to freedom of speech before concluding its investigation.
