Volodymyr Zelensky said in a post that the document on bilateral security guarantees is “essentially ready” to be presented to US President Donald Trump for approval.
The Ukrainian president said that Ukraine’s main achievement is successful cooperation with European and American groups, as together they also discussed documents on Ukraine’s rehabilitation and economic development. The talks also addressed the complex issues on the framework for the end of the war, and the Ukrainian side presented the possible options for the final completion of this document.
Ukraine is waiting for answers from the US side, which will contact Russia to see if Moscow is really ready to end the war.
Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian side continues to inform its partners about the consequences of the Russian attacks, which demonstrate that Moscow does not seem to be revising its priorities.
“It is necessary to increase pressure on Russia with the same intensity that our negotiating teams are working,” the Ukrainian president said, noting that the effectiveness of the security guarantees expected from partners must be demonstrated by their ability to put effective pressure on the aggressor.
Zelensky also announced that Ukraine is preparing for new contacts with its international partners.
