Ferry services from the country’s ports are operating normally today, as weather conditions are expected to steadily improve.
According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), winds are blowing from the northwest at 4 to 6 Beaufort, reaching 7 and locally up to 8 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea, with weakening expected in central and northern areas. In western regions—and gradually in the rest of the country—the winds will shift to westerly–southwesterly at 4 to 6 Beaufort, and locally up to 7 Beaufort in southern areas.
As reported by the Hellenic Coast Guard, hydrofoil services in the Saronic Gulf are currently suspended, while the two scheduled morning sailings of conventional ferries were also not carried out. Passengers planning to travel today are advised to contact local port authorities and travel agencies for possible changes or modifications to ferry schedules.
