Breathtaking scenes were recorded in Giannitsochori, in the prefecture of Ilia, when a tornado struck the area, causing cars to overturn.

Indicative of the severity of the phenomenon is the video showing a passenger car being overturned on Thursday morning (8/1). The footage, released by ilialive.gr, shows the tornado flipping the car over like a nutshell and leaving it upside down on the road. According to reports, the driver was not injured.

The tornado swept through the area within a few minutes, causing extensive damage to greenhouses, with strong winds ripping out metal frames and plastic coverings and scattering them everywhere. The phenomenon lasted only a short time, but its intensity was enough to cause alarm and leave significant damage behind.

It is recalled that on Wednesday (7/1), a tornado struck a poultry farm in Kalpaki, Ioannina, resulting in the death of at least 30,000 chickens.
