The defeat was clear by halftime, with the Bucks down 76-45, which angered the fans who started booing.
However, Giannis Antetokounmpo did not like the boos. After a basket and a (hard) foul early in the third quarter, he booed back at the fans for their reaction.
The Greek superstar continued his remarks after the game in a press conference:
“This is the first time this has happened to me. When they boo, I boo back. I’ve been doing this all season. People will express themselves however they want; no one has the right to tell someone what to do or not to do. Also, no one can tell me how I should react on the court. I’ve been here 13 years, and I’m number one in everything. I play for my teammates, myself, and my family. When people don’t believe in me, I’m not inclined to be with them; it’s not fair.”
