Theodoros Roussopoulos, MP and former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, has been appointed President of the Organizing Committee of New Democracy’s 16th Regular Congress, by decision of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the party announced.
The congress will take place from May 15 to May 17 in Athens. The pre-conference dialogue will begin with the first pre-congress event, which will be held in Ioannina on Wednesday, February 4.

By decision of the Prime Minister and President of New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, MP for Athens’ Northern Sector (B1) and former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Theodoros Roussopoulos, is appointed President of the Organizing Committee of the 16th Regular Congress of New Democracy.
The New Democracy Congress will be held from May 15 to May 17, 2026, in Athens. The pre-conference dialogue will begin with the organization of the first pre-congress event, which will take place in Ioannina on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
