In January 2026, the central government recorded a cash surplus of €1.904 billion, compared with a surplus of €560 million in the same month of 2025.
During the month, regular budget revenues amounted to €5.387 billion, down from €5.698 billion a year earlier, according to a bulletin issued by the Bank of Greece.
Regular budget expenditure totaled €4.064 billion, compared with €5.488 billion in January 2025.
