ND leads SYRIZA by 11 points in latest poll

43% want new parties created

Opposition party New Democracy (ND) leads ruling SYRIZA party by over 10 percentage points, according to the most recent opinion poll conducted by Pulse and aired on Tv station Action24. 31.5% of the respondents said they intended to vote for ND as opposed to 20.5% who responded they would support SYRIZA, while 38% preferred early elections. 24% answered they wanted a different government coalition, compared to 22% who continued to support the current coalition of SYRIZA-ANEL to remain in power. Extreme right party Golden Dawn remained in 3rd spot concerning the polled people’s voting intentions with 7.5%, followed by Democratic Alignment (6%), the communist party (KKE) with 5.5%, while former SYRIZA MP and president of the Greek parliament, Zoe Konstantopoulou’s party “Free Sailing” is on the threshold of gaining the 3% quota necessary for entering parliament. Opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis has extended his lead on the question of who is most suitable for Prime Minister to 13 points against Greek PM Alexis Tsipras. An interesting finding revealed in the survey revealed that 43% were favourably inclined to the creation new political parties.
