The Cypriot problem is a European matter, and as such, it should be upgraded, said the leader of the European People’s Party group (EPP) of the European Parliament, Manfred Weber.

Speaking after a meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, in Nicosia, Mr Weber expressed hope that progress would be made and talks on the Cyprus issue would resume in the coming months.
