A weak tremor of 3.4 Richter was recorded at noon on Tuesday off the island of Crete.

According to the preliminary examination by the Geodynamic Institute of Athens, which recorded the earthquake at 13:53, the earthquake had its epicentre in the sea area, 111 kilometers west southwest of Paleochora, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.
