The EU is now ready for a package of sanctions against Russia if Moscow chooses to invade Ukraine, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced in a tweet.
Prior to the #EUAU summit, the European Council met to discuss the Ukrainian situation. The solution lies in de-escalation and diplomacy. The EU and NATO have a package of stringent sanctions at the ready if Russia engages in further aggression.
