Greek actor accused of rapes tried to rape alleged victim the day she attempted suicide, lawyer claims

Then actor denies all accusations

Newsroom February 18 04:29

The lawyer of the four alleged rape victims by Greek actor Lambros Filippou, who was charged with the felonious offenses of repeated and recurrent rape, claimed the accused had raped one of the victims, a teenage girl the day she had attempted to commit suicide after she was initially sexually abused by the defendant.

Speaking to ANT1, the lawyer of the four victims said that the allegations were made by two sisters and two other girls, while there were other cases of sexual harassment of girls, who are not subject to the ongoing rape case but are under the sexual harassment category, emphasising that “there are more than 7-8 cases, over time. The last complaint was made in the summer of 2021”.

According to the lawyer, “the defendant had an affair with a sister when she was 15 years old, against whom there was abuse by the defendant. Her 14-year-old sister did not show any consent and was raped by her sister’s partner.”

“When the incident became known, the 14-year-old attempted suicide, her sister saved her and it is astonishing that that same day the actor went to the sisters’ home and repeated the same behaviour against a virtually half-conscious girl, ” said lawyer Mr. Pantazis.

According to court sources cited by the show, the lawyer appeared on, “the actor completely denies the acts of rape attributed to him by the four women, pointing out that all sexual encounters were of a consensual nature. In fact, in defence of himself , he submitted 1,800 pages of printed messages and emails , which he received from the accusers, even after the acts of sexual abuse that they reported to the Authorities.
