This agreement is rejected by the parliament as “illegal” as it does not have the approval of the Libyan legislature, i.e. the Parliament.

As the Parliament also made clear “the agreement on hydrocarbons removes from the eastern region of Cyrenaica the right to oil”

It is recalled that the Libyan Parliament, the only elected body in the country, has withdrawn its confidence from the government of Abdulhamid Dbeiba and consequently does not recognize any of his actions.
