The Greek police have arrested the two police officers of the motorbike unit (DIAS) who were accused of raping a 19-year-old woman at the Omonia Police station.

The forensic report was pivotal for the arrests of the two police officers, as the medical examiner found traces of rape on the 19-year-old.

The incident revealed by protothema.gr took place in the early hours of Wednesday inside the police station and the girl, as she complained, was led by the two policemen into a room and raped.

In his statement, the Minister of Citizen Protection requested the immediate investigation and clarification of the case by the head of the Internal Affairs Service of the security forces.

The accused, on their part, claimed that everything that happened was done with her consent. Specifically, after the end of their shift, she appeared at the police station herself and one of the police officers arranged a date with her. And while they were going home in their car, the sexual act took place inside the vehicle with one of the police officers. They claim the cameras can corroborate their account.
