The unique phenomenon of the fall of a meteorite was “caught” by security cameras and residents of the city of Krasnoyarsk in southern Russia.
Videos released online show the moment the meteorite enters the atmosphere, turning night into day, then burns up and disintegrates. The remains of the meteorite apparently did not reach earth, as local emergency authorities reported no problems.
