Rafa Nadal goes island hopping in the Ionian Sea (photos-video)

The Spaniard has opened the only tennis centre in Europe in Halkidiki

Newsroom July 21 11:13

Rafa Nadal chose Greece and specifically the Ionian Islands for his holidays this year. The Spanish tennis legend has relations with our country as he has founded the only Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Europe in Halkidiki, where young children learn the secrets of tennis.

Initially, Nadal, who travels with his luxury yacht “Beethoven”, visited Corfu where he enjoyed the beauties of the island as well as its culinary offerings.

He continued his island hopping by passing by Meganisi off Lefkada while on Wednesday, he was in Ithaca.

On the island of Odysseus, Nadal went for a walk in Vathi where, in fact, he also visited a supermarket to get the essentials for his trip.

According to clubyacht.com, Nadal bought the luxury yacht “Beethoven” in 2016, which he reportedly named after his love of classical music.

The yacht on which he cruises the Ionian is a Monte Carlo Yacht 76 built in Italy by the French company Beneteau.

As stated on the website in question, the yacht is one of the company’s best sellers and is said to cost around 2.5 million euros.

The 23.5-meter-long yacht can comfortably accommodate up to eight people and two crew members.
