Biden arrives in Israel despite deadly Gaza hospital bombing

The US President said he was "shocked & deeply saddened" - The background to the cancellation of the meeting with Abbas, al-Sisi & Abdullah II

Newsroom October 18 10:52

US President Joe Biden is traveling to Israel as scheduled despite the cancellation of a four-way meeting with the leaders of Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority following the deadly tragedy in a Palestinian hospital.

In fact, before boarding Air Force One, Joe Biden said he was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the bombing at Al Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip.

As for who is responsible for this particular attack, in which an estimated 500 people died, the Palestinian side accuses Israel of a “war crime”.

Israel on its side, blames the Palestinians, specifically on the “Palestinian Jihad” organization, which is considered a follow-up to Hamas.
