Newsroom April 2 09:43

Dramatic are the details of the murder that occurred on Monday night a short distance from the Agioi Anargyroi Police Station with a 28-year-old girl falling dead from the blows inflicted on her with a knife by her 39-year-old former partner.

According to the latest information, the girl, who in 2020 had sought an injunction complaining of rape and beating by the man who would become her killer after 4 years, went to the police station on Monday night with a friend, whose testimony will shed more light on this tragic case.

There, according to the same reports, the girl did not file a complaint but allegedly said “I’m scared” to the female officer on duty and asked for a police car to take her home.

However, according to what the female officer allegedly testified, she informed the 28-year-old girl and her boyfriend that there was no patrol car available and therefore suggested they call emergency telephone number (phone number 100).

The same policewoman allegedly said that the 28-year-old woman responded that she and her boyfriend would call 911 on their way out of the police station.

However, when the 28-year-old came out of the police station and while she had reportedly called 911, she was murderously attacked by her ex-boyfriend with the 911 operator having heard what happened outside the Agion Anargyroi Police Station.

The man approached the girl on a motorbike and then she started running towards the station – back to safety – to save herself.

The 39-year-old man chased her and unfortunately caught up with her and killed her.

Given the fact that the crime occurred a short distance from the police station, in addition to the investigation into the killing, an investigation is also being conducted into what preceded it inside the police station.

“As far as we know it is the girl’s husband, he stabbed her in front of the station and also injured himself. It happened very quickly. We understand the couple had had a fight and the girl had come to file a complaint.

The officers didn’t have time to do anything at all. He stabbed her as she came out of the station, then he was stabbed in the neck and the police caught him,” a witness to the incident told protothema.gr.
