As revealed on June 9, Coldplay chose Herodion as the location for filming their new music video and obtained the necessary permits.

Furthermore, on the morning of June 10, Coldplay surprised the public with an invitation for their fans to participate in the video shoot at Mirtsiefski Street 29, Athina 117 41, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Attendees were instructed on attire and personal belongings to bring.

Regarding the licensing process, Coldplay obtained permission from the relevant archaeological service, submitting a comprehensive proposal detailing their filming plans. Modifications were made to align with the terms of use and preservation of the Roman conservatory.

However, the fate of the elaborate sets from the National Opera’s production of “Tosca,” currently on the Herodeion stage until Tuesday’s final performance, remains uncertain. According to the Athens Epidaurus Festival, relocating and reinstalling the sets within a short timeframe is impractical, leaving the possibility of them being covered during Coldplay’s shoot.
