An alarm has been raised by Cyclades authorities over the disappearance of two female tourists on the island of Sikinos.

According to information from Cyclades24, these two women from France had been missing yesterday morning. They are a 73-year-old woman and a 64-year-old woman, who were staying in different hotels, it is suspected that the two women are related.

Searches are focused on trails in the area, with people on the island looking for the two women.

Firefighters, volunteers, a police team from Ios, as well as the island’s mayor Vassilis Marakis, and municipal staff are helping to find the two missing women.
