The president of the Athens Bar Association, Dimitris Vervesos, intervened immediately regarding the arrest of a well-known lawyer for “domestic violence.”

Specifically, Mr. Vervesos sent a document to Zisis Konstantinou, the president of the primary disciplinary council of the Athens Bar Association, requesting an immediate investigation into the media reports concerning the arrest of a well-known lawyer for “domestic violence” against his wife, who is also a lawyer.

Following this, Mr. Konstantinou is called upon to formally verify the identity of the lawyer, as the details are now known, and then conduct a preliminary disciplinary investigation to decide whether or not to initiate disciplinary proceedings against him.
