Weather: Strong wind in the east next weekend – Temperature rise from Friday

The temperature will drop slightly on Tuesday in the east to 36 to 38, in the west to 38 to 39 and locally 40°C

A slight drop in temperature in the east with a strong north wind is expected over the next two days, according to the director of the National Meteorological Service (NMS), Thodoros Kolydas.

At the same time, as he points out, from Friday (2/8) the winds will weaken and the temperature will rise.

Specifically, as he underlines in a post, “generally clear will be weather on Tuesday. Winds will blow from the north at 4 to 6 and in the Aegean Sea locally 7 Beaufort. The temperature will drop slightly in the eastern mainland will reach 36 to 38 degrees Celsius, in the western mainland 38 to 39 and locally 40 degrees Celsius and in the island country 34 to 36 degrees Celsius, while in the Sporades, the Cyclades and northern Crete it will not exceed 32 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday probably 7 to 8 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea with weakening on Thursday to 6 to 7. Further weakening of the winds from Friday and especially next weekend with rising temperatures”.

The weather on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service:

Generally clear weather. A few clouds will develop in Macedonia, Thrace and in the mountainous areas of the rest of the mainland.

Winds will blow from the north at 4 to 6 Beaufort and in the Aegean Sea locally 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop slightly in the eastern mainland and will reach 36 to 38 degrees Celsius, in the western mainland 38 to 39 and locally 40 degrees Celsius and in the island country 34 to 36 degrees Celsius, while in the Sporades, the Cyclades and northern Crete it will not exceed 32 degrees Celsius.

WEDNESDAY 31-07-2024

Local clouds with the possibility of a few short showers are expected in the morning in the southern part of central Macedonia and eastern Thessaly and at noon in southwestern Peloponnese.

The winds will blow in the west east southeastern 3 to 5 Beaufort, turning in the afternoon to northwestern with the same intensity and in the east from northern directions 4 to 6 and in the Aegean Sea 7 and possibly locally up to 8 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop slightly and will reach 35 to 37 degrees Celsius in the mainland and the Ionian islands, 34 to 36 degrees Celsius in the East Aegean islands, the Dodecanese and southern Crete and 28 to 31 degrees Celsius in the rest of the Greek islands.

THURSDAY 01-08-2024

Generally clear weather.
Winds will blow from the north 3 to 5 and in the Aegean Sea 6 and locally 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will reach 36 to 37 degrees Celsius on the mainland and the Ionian islands, 33 to 35 degrees Celsius on the East Aegean islands, the Dodecanese and southern Crete, and 30 to 32 degrees Celsius on the rest of the Greek islands.
