6th Day of the Paris Olympics: Greece defeated the USA 13-11 in water polo for the quarter-finals; final Ntouskos, Drisbioti far from a medal (update)

On Thursday (1/8), Greek athletes will compete in six different events on the 6th day of the Paris Olympics. Following Tselidis’ first Greek medal in judo, Antigoni Drisbioti and Apostolos Christou will be aiming for podium finishes in their respective finals.

The schedule kicks off with the first athletics event, featuring Antigoni Drisbioti in the women’s 20km race walk at 10:20. At 11:00, Stefanos Ntouskos will compete in the second heat of the men’s single sculls semifinals, aiming for a top-three finish to qualify for the final.

At 11:30, the Greek men’s water polo team faces the USA in their third group stage match, seeking their third win in the Olympic tournament. Following this, Stergios Bilas and Kristian Gkolomeev will participate in the men’s 50m freestyle heats at 12:18, and Apostolos Papastamos in the men’s 200m individual medley heats at 12:47.

In the afternoon, Vyron Kokkalakis continues his competition in men’s windsurfing for the fifth day, while at 20:00, Stefanos Tsitsipas faces Novak Djokovic in the men’s singles quarterfinals at the “Court Philippe Chatrier” of “Roland-Garros.”

Finally, at 21:38, Apostolos Christou will compete in the men’s 200m backstroke final.
