Omonia: Handcuffs to 31 year old man driving a stolen motorcycle – He had drugs

A 31-year-old foreigner was arrested, in the context of the auto-procedure, by police officers of the “Z” group, yesterday afternoon, in the area of Omonoia, accused of theft and violation of the legislation on addictive substances.

According to the ELAS, police officers spotted a motorcycle, in the center of Athens, with the 31-year-old driver and signaled him to stop for inspection.

At the sight of them, the accused developed speed in order to escape, however, he was stopped at a nearby point and during the control that took place, small quantities of heroin and cannabis, as well as 4 pharmaceutical tablets were found in his possession.

As the police investigation revealed, the 31-year-old had stolen the motorcycle on the same day.

The arrested man was taken to the competent prosecutor.
