A cannabis plantation has been found in Chania. The plantation is located in an area of the Municipality of Platanias, which was detected during an exploration operation in this area by police officers of the Police Department.

Operations Chania in cooperation with police officers of the Department of Drug Enforcement of the Security Department of Chania. The cannabis plantation, was specially designed area in which cultivated carefully two hundred seedlings, located at the stage of growth, height up to one meter, which after being uprooted then seized.

Investigations are underway to identify and arrest the perpetrators, while preliminary investigation is carried out by the Department of Drug Enforcement of the Security Subdirectorate of Chania.
