Drug Ring Uncovered in Mykonos: The Dealer, the Storekeeper, and the Pricing Scheme

Cocaine and Cannabis Trafficking Network Unveiled in Mykonos: Mastermind, 46, Led a Tight-Knit Operation Serving an Exclusive Clientele with Two Accomplices

Newsroom September 21 06:30

A drug trafficking gang operating in Mykonos was recently dismantled by the National Police. The group, specializing in cocaine and cannabis distribution, catered to a closed circle of clients on the island. A 46-year-old man, identified as the ringleader, along with a man and a woman as accomplices, were all arrested.

According to the investigation, the gang sold cocaine at 100 euros per gram and cannabis at 20 euros per gram. The alleged mastermind, who has a history of drug-related offenses, organized the storage of the drugs either at his accomplice’s home or in hidden locations near rural roads.

Once deals were arranged with clients, the ringleader would retrieve the drugs and deliver them on a motorcycle to either their homes or designated spots, collecting payment in return.

It’s worth noting that the 46-year-old was previously arrested in late July for drug trafficking (cocaine, cannabis, and MDMA) in Mykonos. He was sent to prison but received parole on January 31, 2024, under strict conditions.

Upon release, he returned to Mykonos, resumed contact with his clients, and continued his operations. His method remained consistent with his activities in 2021, hiding drugs in remote locations and taking counter-surveillance measures to avoid detection.
