What do grapes offer us and why should we include them in our diet?

  • They prevent the formation of free radicals and protect against various forms of cancer thanks to their antioxidant components.
  • They are rich in polyphenols, substances that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
  • They contain dietary fiber that contributes to better bowel function and prevents constipation.
  • The resveratrol found in grapes exhibits anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties, while also helping to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
  • They improve the appearance of the skin, as they are rich in water and contain resveratrol, polyphenols, and vitamins A, B, and C.
  • They are very low in calories and aid in weight loss. Although the belief that grapes cause weight gain is often heard, this claim is not true! 100g of grapes contain only 69 calories, while their sweet taste can satisfy our craving for sweets.

Regarding their nutritional components, 100g of grapes contain:

  • 69 calories
  • 18g carbohydrates
  • 0.7g protein
  • 0.2g fat
  • 0.9g dietary fiber
  • 16g sugars
