Parade 28 October 2024 – Thessaloniki: what time is the military parade

The planning for the 28 October parade in Thessaloniki, which roads will be closed

The National Day celebration of October 28 2024 will culminate with a major military parade in Thessaloniki this coming Monday.

According to the schedule, on Monday, October 28, at 10:30 a.m., a wreath laying ceremony will be held at the C Corps’ Memorial of the 3rd Army Corps by the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, followed by the parade.

The ceremony will be followed by the opening of the “Coincidence” and the opening of the “Coincidence of the Stronghold”.
In Thessaloniki, the parade of representative sections of pupils and students, scouts, drivers, war disabled, sections of the Armed Forces, Greek Police, Fire Brigade is scheduled for 11 am.

The traffic regulations in Thessaloniki for the parade

From 3:00 am until the end of the parade, which will start at 11:00 am, all vehicles will be banned from stopping and parking on the following roads:

-Agias Triad, in the section from Alexandrou Avenue to Vas.

-Avenue of Megalo Alexandrou.
-Avenue of Alexander the Great.

-Alexander Avenue to Alexandros Alexander Avenue.
-G.Papandreou Avenue, in the section from M.Alexandrou Street to the street of Kydonia.

-30th of October, along its entire length.

-30-30% of its length.
– M.Bottsari, 25th of March, P.Syndika, Paraskevopoulou, Hatzi, 28th of October, in their sections from Ave. Vass. Olga up to Vass. Alexander the Great.

-Pavlou Mela, in its section from L.Pyrgos square to Tsimiski street.

From the part of the building to Tsimisi street, from the central part to Tsimisi street.
-C September, in the part of the street from the Avenue. M.Alexandrou Street to Stratou Street.

From the main road from the end of St. George’s Square to Str. Str.
-Str. Napoleon. Zerva, along its entire length.- All of its length, including the entire length.
-Ethn. Defence, in its section from Tsimiski Street to Nikis Street.

-Gkyzi, along its entire length.

– throughout its entire length.
From 5:00 a.m. until the end of the parade, due to the parade of the motorized sections, the traffic of all vehicles will not be allowed on the following streets of the city:

-G.Papandreou Avenue, in the section from Alexandrou Avenue to the street of Kydonia.
-30th of October, along its entire length.

30-30% of its length.
From 7:00 a.m. gradually and until the end of the parade, the traffic of all vehicles will not be allowed on the following roads of the city:

-M.Bottsari – Karaiskaki – Kallidopoulou, 25th March, P.Syndika, Paraskevopoulou, Hatzi, 28th October, in their sections from Avenue. Vass. Olga up to Ave. Alexander.

By the end of the street, on the boulevards of Vassiliou Street, from Vassiliou Street, from the central boulevard of Vassiliou Street to the boulevards of Alexandrou Megalos Alexandrou.

-General Kakavou.

-Pavlou Mela, in the section from L. Pyrgos square to Tsimiski Street.

From the part of the building to Tsimposkiy Str.
-Sulioti, in the section from Kallidopoulou Street to Str.Kakavou Street.

-Ethn. Defense, in the part from Tsimiski Street to Victory Street.

Also, the stopping and parking of all vehicles will be prohibited in the following streets of Thessaloniki:

-The parking lot, located behind the parade’s platform of the parade officials on Athan. Souliotis, during the period from 16:00 on 27-10-2024 until the end of the parade on 28-10-2024.

-General Kakavou, during the period from 16:00 on 27-10-2024 until the end of the parade on 28-10-2024.

-Athan.Soulioti, in the section from Kallidopoulou to Str.Kakavou street, during the period from 16:00 of 27-10-2024 until the end of the parade of 28-10-2024.
