Aris without Toliopoulos and Bochoridis for three to five weeks

Victory over PAOK turns bitter as key players suffer injuries

Newsroom December 2 11:00

Aris Thessaloniki’s victory over PAOK in the local derby came at a high cost, as medical examinations confirmed first-degree muscle strains for both Vassilis Toliopoulos and Lefteris Bochoridis.

The smiles in the Aris camp quickly faded when the results of the tests were announced. Both Toliopoulos and Bochoridis suffered calf strains during the derby. Toliopoulos didn’t play in the second half of the game, while Bochoridis was sidelined midway through the third quarter.

The two players will now begin a recovery program to address their injuries. The estimated recovery time is between three and five weeks.

This means that the duo will be unavailable for Eurocup games against Venezia (4/12), Turk Telekom (11/12), and Lietkabelis (17/12). In the GBL Stoiximan Basket League, they will miss matches against Lavrio (7/12), Karditsa (14/12), and Panathinaikos (22/12).

If their rehabilitation progresses on the shorter end of the recovery timeline, they may be available for the game against AEK on 28/12.
