A 45-year-old foreign national was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for violating drug-related legislation.

According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), following an investigation into reports of an individual distributing cannabis in a Metaxourgeio square, officers identified the suspect and confirmed his criminal activities.

During a search, authorities found and confiscated 3.735 kilograms of unprocessed cannabis, divided into plastic bags along with numerous pre-packaged nylon containers ready for distribution.

The detainee, against whom a case file was compiled by the Omonia Security Department, was brought before the Prosecutor of the Athens Court of Misdemeanors.
