A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon (12/10) in Mesochorio, in the Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, Crete, where an elderly man lost his life due to a fire that broke out in his home.

According to neakriti.gr, the fire started under unclear circumstances, filling the house with thick smoke. Firefighters were immediately notified and rushed to the scene.

The man’s daughter arrived to find her father unconscious. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate man’s death.
