Weather on Monday: Rains and Storms

Temperatures will range from 1-15C in Northern Greece, 11-15C in Central and South Greece, 3-16C in West Greece, 13-18C in the Cyclades, 15-19C in Crete, 14-17C over the East Aegean and the Dodecanese

A worsening of the weather is expected on Monday from the southwest with rains and storms on the south and southeast areas of the Peloponnese, Crete, the East Aegean and possibly West and South Cyclades. The extreme weather conditions will be evident in the East Aegean and Thrace with storms over sea areas. Sporadic showers in East Thessaly and the Ionian sea. Southerly winds will be over the Aegean.

Winds over the Central, South, Southeast and East Aegean will be strong with a velocity of 6-7 on the Beaufort scale and local winds as high as 8 Beaufort. In the rest of the Aegean there will be moderate northerly winds of up to 5-6 Beaufort. 7-8 Beaufort in the North Aegean. At the Ionian Sea, the winds will come from a northwesterly direction at 3-4 Beaufort.
