The employees of the AADE Customs Control Service, following a complaint, conducted a fuel sample inspection at a gas station in Aspropyrgos. After testing the samples, the AADE chemical service found that the 100-octane unleaded gasoline was non-compliant and adulterated with 95-octane unleaded gasoline.

Following the confirmation of the adulteration, the customs inspectors proceeded with sealing the facility for two years.

In addition to administrative fines that will be imposed, the inspection continues with the necessary due diligence measures. Fuel companies will be informed not to supply the specific gas station, as well as other stations linked to the violating station. Lastly, procedures have been initiated to publish the business’s details on the AADE website.
