Newsroom January 21 10:00

The police investigation to locate and arrest the perpetrator of the brutal murder of the OPAP agency owner in Palaio Faliro, who was found dead in the restroom of his establishment, is in full swing.

According to information from protothema.gr, the forensic examination revealed that the victim sustained over 30 stab wounds, most of which were inflicted on his back. This indicates that the attacker knocked the 60-year-old to the ground and repeatedly stabbed him.

Additionally, the businessman also suffered blows to the head with a bat, although his death appears to have been caused by the severe injuries from the stabbing.

The perpetrator has not yet been identified, and investigators believe he may be a drug addict. They are now examining whether any documents or objects that could lead to his capture were taken from the premises during the fatal robbery.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the attacker leaving the store, and information suggests that his route was recorded up to a certain point by security cameras.

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) suspect that the individual resides near the area where the bloody incident occurred, as he both arrived at and left the agency on foot.
