Earthquakes in Santorini: Emergency flights by Aegean – Free tickets for children and teachers by Sky Express

The fares for the seats offered on all the additional, extraordinary flights range between 55-65 euros, Aegean stresses - The average fare for the flights is 52.41 euros, Sky Express says

Newsroom February 4 03:45

In a statement, Aegean airline Aegean informs that yesterday, Monday, February 3, it operated 9 total flights from Santorini to Athens, 4 scheduled and 5 unscheduled, carrying a total of 1,294 passengers from the island to Athens.

Eight flights are already scheduled for today, Tuesday, February 4. Four are scheduled, and four are unscheduled. All are on Airbus 320 aircraft with a total capacity of more than 1,400 seats.

“In total, during the first two days, Monday and Tuesday, approximately 2,500-2,700 passengers will have been transported from Santorini to Athens with our flights,” the announcement underlines.

It is obvious that due to the special conditions, the planes arrive in Santorini with few passengers, mainly from various levels of services, while the flights from Santorini depart full.

Fares for seats on all additional, extraordinary flights operated yesterday and today range between 55 and 65 euros (including VAT and airport taxes, 22 euros from Santorini to Athens).

If there is still a need, new, special flights will be added for Wednesday (5/2), the company’s announcement concludes.

It is noted that SKY Express has added 5 additional flights to and from the island of Santorini from yesterday, February 3, 2025, to facilitate the travel of citizens. On Monday, February 3, the company operated a total of 8 flights from Santorini to Athens (6 scheduled and 2 extraordinary) and today, Tuesday, February 4, the company is going to operate 8 flights for which tickets are already sold out.
