Nikolaos de Grèce – Chryssi Vardinogianni: The pre-wedding party in Koukaki

A dinner at the Grande Bretagne followed by a celebration – See photos

Newsroom February 6 10:21

Just before their wedding on Friday, February 7, Nikolaos de Grèce and Chryssi Vardinogianni hosted a pre-wedding party to celebrate the joyous occasion. The evening began with a private dinner at the Grande Bretagne Hotel, attended by the former royal family, before moving on to “Vulcanizer” in Koukaki for the continuation of the festivities.

A few hours before exchanging vows at Agios Nikolaos Ragkavas in Plaka, the couple enjoyed an intimate gathering with their loved ones. Exclusive photos obtained by protothema.gr show Nikolaos de Grèce‘s mother, Anna-Maria, stepping out of a car and heading toward the restaurant alongside Matthew Kumar and the groom’s younger sister, Theodora. Soon after, Queen Sofia, her daughter Infanta Cristina, and her sister, Princess Irene, also arrived.

Other distinguished guests included Princess Benedikte of Denmark and her daughter, Alexandra. The couple arrived ahead of their guests at 8:00 PM, choosing to make a discreet entrance away from the media spotlight.

An Exclusive & Intimate Wedding Ceremony

The family has announced that the wedding will take place at 6:00 PM, in an exclusive, private ceremony attended only by close family and friends. The couple’s best men will be the bride’s father, Giorgos Vardinogiannis, and the groom’s brother, Pavlos de Grèce.

According to sources, the guest list will be limited to around 50 people. The wedding duties will be shared, with Giorgos Vardinogiannis exchanging the rings, while Pavlos de Grèce will place the wedding crowns.

To ensure the smooth running of the event, strict security measures will be in place, and roads around the church will remain closed. Given its location in the Anafiotika area of Plaka, guests are expected to start arriving from 5:15 PM.

The couple has expressed their wish for a discreet and elegant ceremony, keeping media attention to a minimum. Following the ceremony, a reception will take place for their esteemed guests.
