New demonstrations for Tempi today – Metro stations in Athens and Thessaloniki closed

Demonstrations planned in Athens and Thessaloniki at noon and in the afternoon

New protests for the Tempi accident are planned across Greece today, Wednesday. In Athens, a protest is planned at noon at the Propylaea by university and school students. In the afternoon, a new rally is being organized outside the Parliament by labor centers, federations, and unions.

At the same time, rallies are planned in Thessaloniki at 12 noon and 7 pm. Rallies will also be held in other cities of the country.

In more detail, with decisions and calls of student associations, student councils, and Student Coordination Committees, gatherings are organized in:

Athens 12 at Propylaea
Thessaloniki, 12 at the Venizelos Statue.
Patras, 12 at Georgiou Square.
Larisa, 12 at the central square.
Agrinio, 12 in the Republic Square.
Argostoli, 12 in Vallianou Square.
Volo, 11 at the Dome of the University.
Zante, 10.30 in Ag. Markos Square.
Heraklion, Crete, 11 am at Eleftherias Square.
Kalamata, 12 at the central square.
Pyrgos, 12 in the central square.
Trikala, 12 in Riga Feraiou Square.
Chania, 11 at the Municipal Market Square.

What time the stations Syntagma and University

From this Friday morning (7/3) and until further notice, the Metro stations “University” and “Syntagma” will be closed.

In particular, by decision of the police, the two stations will be closed at 10:00 and will reopen at a later order of the ELAS.

Which stations are closed in Thessaloniki

The stations “Neos Sidirovodromos Station”, “Venizelou,” and “Sidrivani” of Thessaloniki Metro will remain closed today from 11 am, on the order of the police authorities.

The operation at the other stations will be carried out normally,” the announcement on the Thessaloniki Metro website says.
