The US Attorney General called the vandalism of Tesla vehicles “domestic terrorism”

Her ministry "has already indicted several perpetrators of these actions taking into account" this aspect

Newsroom March 19 02:04

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bodie has called the vandalism of Tesla cars, owned by Elon Musk a close associate of President Donald Trump who is tasked with cutting government spending, “domestic terrorism.”

“The series of violent attacks against Tesla is nothing short of domestic terrorism,” Bodie denounced in a statement last Tuesday night, while clarifying that her department “has already indicted several perpetrators of these actions taking into account” this aspect.

“We are continuing investigations and will make the persons involved pay dearly, including those acting through the shadows to coordinate and finance these crimes,” she added.

On Monday night into Tuesday, several Tesla cars were torched and shot at in a parking lot in Las Vegas, where the perpetrators graffitied the word “Resist,” according to local police.

“Terrorism,” Musk commented on X, posting a video of the incident.

Several Tesla vehicles, dealerships and charging stations have been vandalized in recent weeks in the US and Europe. In addition, there have been growing calls for a boycott of the electric vehicle pioneer, whose stock market value has plummeted since December.

Trump has expressed support for Musk, who he has said is being treated “very unfairly.”

“We’re going to get you and you’re going to go through Hell,” the Republican warned those responsible for these vandalisms.

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, donated $227 million of his personal fortune to Trump’s campaign and since the Republican’s election has been elevated to a close associate.

The US president appointed Musk to head an agency responsible for government efficiency (Doge), with the aim of drastically cutting government spending.
