Washington and Moscow discuss a moratorium on ship strikes in the Black Sea

Aim to stop Ukrainian and Russian attacks on military and merchant ships in the Black Sea

Newsroom March 19 06:20

Washington and Moscow are working to establish a moratorium on strikes on military and civilian ships in the Black Sea between Russia and Ukraine, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steven Whitcoff, said Wednesday.

Witkov noted that for now, the parties have agreed to stop attacks on energy facilities.

“We are also working on a moratorium on strikes against military and civilian ships in the Black Sea, cargo ships carrying grain and things like that, Trump’s envoy said in an interview with Bloomberg.
