Another step toward war by India and Pakistan – They exchanged missile strikes on military bases

Three airbases in Pakistan were struck by Indian fighter jets – Islamabad responds with Operation "Wall of Lead"

Newsroom May 10 08:32

Indian fighter jets have fired missiles at three air bases in Pakistan, a Pakistani army spokesman said today.

According to the spokesman’s briefing, Indian fighter jets fired air-to-ground missiles against Pakistan Air Force bases Noor Khan, Murid and Sorkot, with no casualties or significant damage to property reported.

“India will now have to wait for our response,” the Pakistani army spokesman warned.

Ten explosions were heard near Srinagar International Airport in Indian-administered Kashmir, officials said.

The explosions followed power outages caused by missiles seen in the sky over Jammu City earlier on Friday.

Earlier, a Pakistani army spokesman had told state television that India had fired six ballistic missiles which landed on Indian soil.

“I want to bring you shocking news as India has launched six ballistic missiles from Andabur. One of the ballistic missiles landed in Andampur, the remaining five missiles hit Amritsar in the Indian state of Punjab,” he said in a video message broadcast around 2 a.m. Saturday morning (local time).

“This is a shocking development and provocation of the highest order as India has now started launching ballistic missiles against the population,” the Pakistani army spokesman said, stressing that “this is an action that lacks logic.”

Citing witnesses, Reuters news agency reported that explosions were heard in the city of Amritsar.
