India accuses Pakistan of violating ceasefire – Explosions and drone strikes in Kashmir

Leaks from both countries report that explosions are heard on the Indian side and drone activity is also observed

Newsroom May 10 08:07

Pakistan violated a ceasefire agreed earlier Saturday with India after four days of confrontation on the border between the two countries, a source close to India‘s government told AFP.

Repeated powerful explosions were heard early Saturday evening (afternoon in Greece) in Srinagar, the largest city in Indian Kashmir, and electricity was cut off, reporters said.

Indian Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah confirmed the incident. “What the hell happened to the ceasefire? Explosions can be heard all over Srinagar,” he wrote in a post on his platform X.

Officially, neither country has commented on the reports.
