“We heard that he beat the gentleman up because he was picking on some girls. He punched him in the face, he fell down and split his head open,” a young man said. According to local residents and eyewitnesses who spoke to MEGA, the 50-year-old often made his way outside the school and was always friendly with the children.

“I saw the man lying on the ground, there was someone with him who gave him first aid and after a half hour or so the ambulance came and took him away. There was blood coming out of his head, he was turned on his side and there was some blood coming out of his nose, maybe from his head… His teeth were broken and he was having seizures. He was unconscious,” a local resident said.

The case is being investigated by the Northeast Attica Security Subdivision. Police are collecting CCTV footage and witnesses to come up with the identity of the perpetrators.
