The entrance exams for 2025 will start tomorrow, Friday, May 30, 2025, with the Modern Greek Language and Literature exam, for students seeking one of the 68,788 university places for the academic year 2025-26.

Candidates for General Lyceums (GEL) and Vocational Lyceums (EPAL) will begin their exams on Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31, respectively.

It is noted that the Modern Greek Language and Literature is the only General Education subject in which GEL candidates will be examined. From Monday, June 2, to Friday, June 6, candidates will undertake orientation-specific subjects.

The exam is scheduled to start at 08:30, and candidates should arrive at the exam halls by 08:00. The exam duration is three hours.

Finally, it is reminded that for EPAL candidates, the nationwide exams will start on May 31 with the Modern Greek language exam.

  • Any correction fluid (white-out), whether liquid or tape

Regarding mobile phones
Possession of any mobile device, even if turned off, inside the exam hall is prohibited and can result in disqualification of the exam paper. If a candidate arrives with a mobile phone, they are required to hand it over to the exam supervisor, who will store it in a designated area. After the exam, the candidate will retrieve their phone and leave.

Special caution in handling the answer booklet
Candidates should use the pages of their answer booklet sparingly, as no second booklet will be provided; the pages are deemed sufficient for responses. They may use the last pages of their booklet as rough paper, provided they clearly write “ROUGH” on the pages used. These pages are not graded.

When writing their personal details at the start of the exam and their answers, candidates should avoid folding or crumpling the cover or the booklet itself.
