Newsroom June 10 04:55

A Greta Thunberg, who was deported by Israel for her participation in the activists’ expedition on the ship, which they intended to use to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, has arrived at Charles de Gaulle.

The Swedish activist has denounced the Tel Aviv authorities for kidnapping. “We were kidnapped in international waters and taken against our will to Israel,” she told reporters, claiming they “broke no laws” with the crew of the sailboat that left Italy on June 1 to “break the siege” of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Navy on Monday prevented the ship from reaching the Gaza Strip as it approached the Palestinian enclave under naval blockade, arresting the ship’s crew members.

“I’m doing more good outside Israel”</h3 Of the 12 activists on the Madleen ship, eight refused to sign deportation papers and are in custody pending a court hearing.

Greta Tunberg and 3 other activists signed the documents and were flown out.

“I’m doing more good out of Israel than if they force me to stay here for a few weeks,” she said, according to Motashem Zedan, a spokesman for the human rights organization Adalah, which is providing legal representation for the activists.
