This is the map of the Turkish-Libyan explorations – It appears they are operating south of the median line of the Greece-Libya maritime border

Greece will not accept any violation of its sovereign rights, Athens’ initial response – The map of the illegal Turkish-Libyan memorandum was also presented during the signing ceremony

Newsroom June 25 08:49

Greece will not accept any violation of its sovereign rights, competent sources state, following the memorandum signed between the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) for seismic surveys in four blocks located south of the median line of the Greece-Libya maritime borders. However, during the signing ceremony in Istanbul, the map of the illegal Turkish-Libyan pact was also presented, a move that indicates Turkey’s intentions for the future.

The signing of this agreement comes just days after the tensions caused by Libya, with démarches both from Tripoli and Benghazi, regarding the publication in the Official Journal of the European Union of the tender announcement for blocks south of Crete—blocks in which the American energy giant Chevron has expressed interest.

“Discussions were held regarding the conduct of 2D seismic surveys (with a length of 10,000 kilometers) and the processing of the resulting data within a time frame not exceeding 9 months,” said Libya’s state oil company in its announcement.

A related map was also published, showing the four blocks where Libya and Turkey will carry out the seismic surveys.

The NOC stated that the agreement was signed in Istanbul by executives of the two companies. Specifically, NOC was represented by the Chairman of its Board of Directors, Eng. Masoud Suleman, and TPAO by its General Director, Mr. Ahmet Turkoglu.
