Electric bracelet pilot launched at KAT Hospital – Georgiades: “Throughout Greece by the end of the year”

Electronic Patient Tracking System Launched at KAT Hospital – Georgiadis: “The NHS Is Changing and Improving”

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis announced via social media the launch of a new electronic patient tracking system—commonly referred to as the “bracelet”—at KAT Hospital. The system is designed to monitor patients attending hospitals during on-call hours and is part of a broader effort to modernize Greece’s National Health System (NHS).

The electronic wristband, already in use at Evangelismos, GONK, and G. Gennimatas hospitals, aims to enhance patient management and safety by enabling more efficient coordination across healthcare services. According to the minister, citizens are already “experiencing the difference.”

Georgiadis stated that the program will be rolled out to all hospitals by the end of the year, emphasizing: “The NHS is changing and getting better.”
