Agia Paraskevi: How the deadly ambush of the Polish professor was set up – He was targeted after a session with his ex-wife and their children

The assassin and his accomplices used a Porsche Cayenne on the day of the murder – Their failed attempt to create an alibi

Newsroom July 17 09:23

New details have emerged from the police investigation into the deadly ambush that led to the murder of a 43-year-old Polish professor in Agia Paraskevi. The suspected mastermind is reportedly his Greek ex-wife, with the shooter being her current partner, assisted by three other accomplices.

According to reports, the three men—who used a Porsche Cayenne for their movements—began tracking the professor from the area of Chaidari. Unaware of what was to come, the professor had gone there to attend a session with his ex-wife and their two children.

The ex-wife had allegedly arranged a meeting with him at 4:00 PM that day to pick up the children from their home on Irinis Street.

According to police sources, the woman shared that information with her current partner and the other two men who were surveilling the professor.

CCTV footage reportedly captured the Porsche Cayenne leaving Chaidari and arriving in Agia Paraskevi about an hour before the professor was scheduled to get there.

Police sources also say the current partner contacted his son—who was at the Irinis Street home—via a messaging app to find out if the professor had arrived yet.

The killer’s attempt at an alibi

Police were also able to map the shooter’s movements and his failed attempt to mislead investigators and avoid arrest.

According to their findings, after shooting the 43-year-old in the chest, the assassin took a taxi to Nafplio.

There, the current partner of the professor’s ex-wife had handed over his car keys and phone to another individual to use on the day of the murder, hoping to create the illusion that he was in Argolida and not in Agia Paraskevi at the time of the killing.

As reported yesterday by protothema.gr, the shooter and the three accomplices have confessed and given detailed accounts of how the execution was carried out. However, the ex-wife of the victim continues to deny any involvement in the case.
